Judging
Recognition that means something
The North East Women of Excellence Awards are judged on merit, not popularity.
Our judging process is designed to be fair, independent and consistent, giving every entry the consideration it deserves.
How entries are judged
Each entry will be assessed against clear criteria specific to the category entered.
Judges will consider the achievements, evidence and impact demonstrated within the application.
Our judges are selected for their experience, expertise and ability to assess entries fairly and objectively.
Independence & Integrity
Robust measures will be in place to protect the integrity of the judging process and manage potential conflicts of interest.
There is no public voting.
Judges must declare any conflicts of interest.
Sponsors cannot judge the category they sponsor.
Entries are assessed against defined criteria rather than compared on profile or popularity.
Finalists and winners are determined through the independent judging process.
Our promise
Every finalist will have earned their place. Every winner will deserve their recognition.
Meet the judges
Our judges bring experience from across business, entrepreneurship, leadership and the wider North East economy.
Each has been selected for their expertise and commitment to recognising excellence fairly and independently.
